So, we actually didn’t use the standard Diebold voting machines here in Champaign county due to some technical issues.  Instead, we voted on a paper ballot that was fed into an electronic reader, so at least there’s a paper trail.

I read some bullshit editorial article today claiming that there was no point in voting for president in Illinois, since Obama is “obviously” going to win.  I wanted to find the author and punch him in the cock for being an idiot.  There’s no such thing as a “sure thing,” and while I definitely hope for an Obama victory (and things look promising), that doesn’t mean anyone should be complacent.  The race is far from over.  Hold onto your seat – it’s gonna be a wild ride to the finish!
